FIRST Robotics Team

FIRST Robotics Overview

"Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams of high school students are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team “brand,” and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community."

I was a member of my high school's FIRST robotics team for four years.  Now, I continue my involvement with the team through mentorship.

4+ Years of Contribution

As a leader on the team, I restructured the way the team interacted with each other, created a positive environment, and recruited the largest number of new members ever in the team’s history.

I ensured that every member, regardless of skill, had a meaningful task and experience that would allow them to grow as engineers and good people.

In 2021-2022, I led the team to the most successful season ever, winning the WPI regional competition, coming in second at the Central Mass competition, making it to the regional championship, and finally being invited to the FRC world championship in Huston.

However, what makes me most proud of this experience is not the achievements, but rather that the team today is carrying on my same attitude, work ethic, and dream without me there to lead them.

I had enough of an impact to change the team forever, improving the social dynamic and success for all the future generations of the team.

Currently, I serve as a mentor for the team, helping future generations of students become their best selves and improve their knowledge.
